FEATURE » Cyrus Rolbin's ABCJP Workshop Cyrus Rolbin's ABCJP Workshop

Cyrus is a former instructor at Keio University, and VP of the National Council of Japanese Language Teachers in the United States, and is currently working part time with postgraduate students at Harvard University. He expressed keen interest to work with New Zealand teachers on this project. He has set up a website which he calls a kind of ‘Youth tube’ of Japanese culture. Sasakawa has provided the funding for Cyrus to return to New Zealand for two weeks to work with teachers in Wellington and Christchurch on this project. NZAJLT managed the fund and programme. The aim was to up-skill teachers (at the workshops) and their students (during individual school visits) to be able to make these kinds of videos themselves. abcjp.net
